I have worked on a diverse range of projects from small house extensions up to £300 million airport buildings. The appeal does not necessarily relate to the size of project and frequently the smaller jobs provide interesting ‘opportunities for solution’.

My work has included design in the common structural materials such as concrete, steel, timber and masonry and also aluminium, glass, stainless steel and carbon fibre.

I have been involved in buildings covering many periods, from Medieval timber cruck frames to state-of-the-art glass facades with tensioned support structures.

When I’m not grappling with one engineering challenge or another I enjoy photography and golf - sometimes at the same time!
